CLICKERS Clickers are used to mark a behavior when training a dog. The crisp exact sound is an excellent way to let a dog know when he's performed the way you want him to. Consider using clickers and attending one of our training classes to learn proper reward-based timing. Price: $2.00 each |

VIEWTAINERS These are great training tools! These plastic containers can carry a variety of treats, but the dog can't get to them until you squeeze the top and shake some out. HALTI HEAD COLLAR The Halti Head Collar is a unique way of adding control to your training sessions and walks. Called "the ten-minute attitude adjustment", the Halti works much like a horse halter by controlling the nose of the dog. When a dog pulls, the Halti simply turns the nose towards the handler and the dog stops pulling. This is not a muzzle and fits loosely around the nose so that the dog can pant and drink normally. KONGS The Kong is a hard rubber toy that is a wonderful alternative for those dogs that tend to tear apart softer toys. Kongs are shaped to bounce randomly, which adds a bit of fun when the dogs play with them. In addition, you can stuff a Kong with food, providing the dog with a "puppy pacifier" when you want your dog to settle and be quiet for awhile. Kongs come in a variety of sizes. LEADS AND LEASHES PenDOG carries a variety of leads and leashes. The picture to the left is of a 6' nylon leash (click for larger view). In addition, we typically have in stock leather leashes. LONG LINES Long lines are excellent tools for teaching a dog to come when called, or for working a dog at a distance while retaining control. NYLABONE The Nylabone is a durable chew toy. Many of the problem behaviors that we see in our dogs are due to boredom, and toys such as the Nylabone offer an alternative behavior.
